Formed over a couple thousand years ago when glaciers sliced through the land, there was a massive piece of rock that broke off from the mountains and formed this valley. There is old ancient debris in the form massive rock formations and scattered rocky terrain that was left behind by the glacier. Some parts of this valley are harsh and aching on the hooves, making them tender, or chip them badly. Other sections are spread vast with delicious green grass in the spring and summer and are well worth trudging over rocks to get to. It's a wonderful place to bring the foals for socialization and a wide view of any incoming danger.
